The energy benchmarking of a building is usually the comparison of the whole-building energy use of a building with a set of similar buildings e.g. comparing the electricity consumption of a non-cooled office with the average electricity consumption of a set of other non-cooled offices. It provides a useful starting point for individual energy audits and for targeting buildings for energy-saving measures in multiple-site audits.

A GB Partner should benchmark the electricity and fuel consumption of its building with a similar set of other buildings and present the benchmarking of it building in the request for becoming GB partner.
